Description

The Master in Mathematics is one of Universidad de Concepción’s oldest graduate programs, with hundreds of graduates, many of whom have pursued doctoral studies.

Objectives

To train the high-level specialists that the country and its institutions require to develop scientific research and university teaching initiatives. Specifically, the Master in Mathematics aims to train scientists who may promote Mathematics and join research teams in order to contribute to the progress and transmission of mathematical knowledge.

Candidate Profile

Applicants must provide a transcript along with their application form, as a complement to the Master’s Requirements as established by the Graduate Office. The Graduate Committee will verify the fulfillment of the requirements and will qualify applicants’ records. Applicants must take an admission exam consisting of an interview with the program’s Graduate Committee.
