Description

The program trains specialists in the integrated study of the Ocean, with a strong background in the four core areas of Biological Oceanography, Physical Oceanography, Chemical Oceanography and Geological Oceanography. This training provides students with the tools necessary to teach undergraduate and graduate students in academic environments, as well as conduct independent research and work as consultants.

Objectives

To train graduates capable of performing integrated and multidisciplinary work in the field of oceanographic research, and contributing to basic and applied knowledge of the natural ecosystems and resources associated to marine systems.

Candidate Profile

Applicants must have and certify a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) or a professional degree in disciplines related to Natural Sciences, Exact Sciences or Engineering Sciences, or other equivalent degrees.
