Description

This program’s profile goes beyond the legal-diplomatic approaches that prevailed in the area of International Studies in recent decades. In a joint effort with the School of the Humanities, the program develops a multi- and interdisciplinary approach to study complex international scenarios not only from an analysis of State and government foreign policies, but from the international relations that connect nations and cultures. A multifaceted view is important in the field of International Studies, since, in the era of globalization, interdisciplinary perspectives are present in the most diverse aspects of human activity. For this reason, the Master’s program combines historical, political, economic, social and cultural visions, in order to produce knowledge of concrete situations and scenarios, providing the analytical tools required by the diverse profile of its students and graduates. The signature seal of this program is its close relationship to the research conducted by academics from the Institute for Advanced Studies. Several theses are part of the researchers’ FONDECYT projects.
