Link to magísterThis program offers students trained in Biology, coming from different disciplines, the chance to develop their scientific abilities and interests. It provides students with methodological tools and a solid theoretical framework for solving genetic problems on a molecular, organismic, genomic and population level.
The main objective of this program is to train professionals with a theoretical, experimental and methodological foundation for understanding, analyzing and solving genetic problems at the molecular, genomic, organismic and population level. It also offers students a strong education for pursuing more advanced studies, while providing them the ability to design and develop professional activities and genetic resource management.
Applicants must have an academic or professional degree in areas related to Genetics (for instance, Bachelorâs degree in Biological Sciences, Marine Biology, Biochemistry, Natural Resource Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Agronomy, Veterinary Sciences, etc.). To apply, they must fill out an Admission Request according to the âManual of Rules and Procedures for the Administration of Masterâs programs at Universidad Austral de Chile.â They must also attach a letter explaining what motivates them to enter the program, along with letters of recommendation from two professionals or distinguished academics in this field. A physician must also certify that their physical health is compatible with the program requirements. Non-native speakers must also present a certificate accrediting an adequate knowledge of Spanish.
