Description

The goal of this program is to train professionals with strong theoretical and practical scientific knowledge in management and policy, allowing them to solve learning or teaching problems at a high level. To that end, it establishes guidelines such as interdisciplinary study and an international perspective, as well as a complex, contextual analysis that connects education to development processes and programs and to the historical and socio-political conditions of the regions being studied. It considers the use of quantitative and qualitative methodological designs, oriented towards revealing systemic problems, in order to contribute to a decision-making process based on representative information; it also includes case studies, as ways to develop methods of applied research and learning strategies, based on strategic thought and participation.

Objectives

To accomplish in their students the specialization of a professional with a solid theoretical and practical education including diverse epistemological and theoretical trends concerning education, complemented with a pluralist methodological training and applied studies, in order to analyze current guidelines in management and policy that have led to administrative and curricular decentralization, and which aim to improve quality and equity in education.

Candidate Profile

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s or professional degree with a level and content equivalent to those required to earn a Bachelor’s degree.
