Description

The Master in Contemporary Spanish-American Literature aims to train specialists with a strong theoretical and methodological foundation for researching, analyzing and discussing contemporary creative and cultural processes in Spanish-American Literature that are addressed in the program, preferably from interdisciplinary perspectives. This program promotes the academic productivity of students through support for attending congresses, seminars and, above all, publishing in specialized journals.

Objectives

The objectives of the program are: To provide critical tools for reflecting critically on themes in literary discourses in Spanish-American societies and cultures. To promote research on contemporary Spanish-American literary and cultural discourses in their diverse contexts and situations. To develop an original line of research regarding current issues in Spanish-American literature.

Candidate Profile

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s or professional degree in the Humanities and/or Social Sciences. Applicants with a degree pending or with a Bachelor’s degree in another discipline will be evaluated by the Program Committee as special cases.
