"Universidad de Valparaíso is the Chilean leader in the specialization of Biomedical Engineering according to the Regional Council of Biomedical Engineering for Latin America (CORAL) and the International Federation for Medical and Biological Engineering (IFMBE). Also, only Universidad de Valparaiso is part of the Pan American Health Care Engineering Conference (PAHCE), sponsored by PAHO.
Therefore, Universidad de Valparaíso has created this program in order to produce new knowledge in the area, creating and promoting it at a local and international level to develop a know-how grounded in the Latin American context."

Objectives

The general objective of this program is to train high-level professionals in Biomedical Engineering Sciences, with theoretical and practical knowledge that may allow them to conduct research as well as create multidisciplinary scientific projects. Scientific graduates will be able to reliably and creatively join research and/or university teaching teams in this field.

Candidate Profile

The Master in Biomedical Engineering Sciences is fundamentally oriented towards professionals with a Bachelor’s or professional degree in Engineering, or related areas, who which to improve their knowledge in the scientific field of Biomedical Engineering.
