Link to magísterChile has a world-class infrastructure in telescopes and astronomical instruments. The need to have human resources qualified to use these telescopes and to develop a world-class astronomical science justifies the proposal of a Masterâs program in Astrophysics. This program provides the competencies necessary for students to work in Chile or abroad, and the tools to integrate a broad range of productive and research initiatives.
To offer national or foreign students of Physics and/or Astronomy the opportunity to study in a strong environment of scientific creation. The programâs graduates will be qualified to contribute with their professional and scientific knowledge to current affairs, interacting with other researchers. In the future, they will be able to fully use the existing astronomical infrastructure in Chile.
Applicants must have a Bachelorâs degree in Astronomy or Physics, or an academic or professional degree that may be considered equivalent in level, content and coursework, demonstrating previous training consistent with the programâs goals and requirements. Applicants must also demonstrate English proficiency.
