This program provides specialized training for young professionals who wish to become agents of change in Chilean companies and organizations in the process of internationalization, or foreign companies investing in our country. The Global MBA - Master in Management for Globalization is a full-time program with an 18-month duration, both in Chile and abroad (classes every day from 3 to 9 PM). It includes an initial period of study in Chile, a training phase in business schools at prestigious English-speaking universities (United Kingdom, United States and Australia), a study trip to Asian countries (for instance, India and China), and a final stage in Chile. It was created in 2007 as a result of a unique alliance between Universidad de Chileâs School of Physical Sciences and Mathematics, through the Department of Industrial Engineering, and Minera Escondida (operated by BHP Billiton). All students are awarded the Minera Escondida Scholarship, which covers between 50% and 100% of the programâs total cost, and have access to a revolving fund to finance their studies. The combination of scholarships and funding cover the main academic and maintenance expenses. Each year, the Global MBA - Master in Management for Globalization receives hundreds of applications. Students are only accepted following a rigorous selection process that seeks to promote excellence, meritocracy and diversity.
