The fundamental objectives of the Master in Physical Education are: 1. To respond to a growing demand of professionals interested in updating and extending their intellectual development by obtaining a Masterâs degree. 2. To contribute quantitatively and qualitatively to the training of professionals with a Masterâs degree, capable of designing and managing applied research projects on physical improvement, as well as creating and developing high-level teaching. 3. To provide meaningful support for the development of Applied Sciences that contribute to our knowledge of human motor skills and physical adaptation, in order to achieve healthy lives.
To train professionals with well-grounded theoretical and practical scientific knowledge, qualified to use innovative pedagogical processes to develop and systematically increase the transfer of valid, up-to-date knowledge. These professionals must be able to combine basic science with specialized knowledge in order to transmit them to other academic bodies in elementary, secondary and post-secondary education. To identify priority problems in matters related to applied research, research projects, human motor skills, psychomotor skills, stages of development, education for individuals with special needs, the physical condition of different age groups, physiological adaptation to physical activity, and physical condition assessment.
Applicants must have a Bachelorâs or professional degree in the areas of Education, Physical Education, Health Care, granted by a national or foreign university or higher education institution, duly accredited.
