Link to magísterThis program trains high-level engineers to conduct research in the area of Engineering Sciences, particularly Biotechnology and Bioprocesses. It represents an advanced study of the discipline and requires developing a thesis in the programâs line of research.
Graduate of the Master of Engineering Sciences, with an emphasis in Biotechnology will be qualified to conduct independent, original and creative research, producing publications in the academic or industrial fields. Graduates will capable of confronting complex Engineering problems with a set of specialized and modern technological tools, as well as technological innovation. They will acquire a critical attitude, rigor, independence in the solution of problems, and an ability to work in teams and multidisciplinary groups. They will also capable of confronting the challenge of producing and promoting knowledge and work in teaching and research, as well as proposing and conducting scientific and technological research projects.
Applicants must have a Bachelorâs degree in Engineering Sciences or a professional degree in Engineering, with a level, content and duration equivalent to those required to earn a Bachelorâs degree. Current students in programs offered by the School of Engineering, Sciences and Management are welcome to apply if their final GPA is 5.0 or higher (on the Chilean scale of 1-7).
