Description

This program is based on lectures, and thesis work is supported by work areas defined by the Department of Mechanical Engineering: Manufacturing, Mechanical Behavior of Materials, Mechanical Design, Solid Mechanics, Robotics, Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, Biomechanics and Energy.

Objectives

To train high-level graduates in Mechanical Engineering Sciences, qualifying them to teach at universities and conduct research activities, pursue further training towards higher academic degrees, or work as managers executing production and technological innovation projects in the field of Mechanical Engineering and related disciplines.

Candidate Profile

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Sciences (with an emphasis in Mechanical Engineering), granted by Universidad de Chile, or a Master’s degree that is equivalent, in level and content, to those required to earn a Bachelor’s degree from Universidad de Chile, thus guaranteeing previous training that is consistent with the goals and requirements of the program.
