Description

This Social Sciences program owes its name to the disciplines that sustain it, in two senses. First, it is related to the curriculum, including disciplines such as Sociology, Anthropology, Geography, History, Epistemology of Social Sciences, Quantitative and Qualitative Research Methods. Second, it is related to the goals of training an agent of social development, qualified to identify and propose applied solutions to diverse phenomena that are emerging in a regional society.

Objectives

This program’s main objective is to train social agents with solid theoretical and methodological knowledge, qualified to identify, understand and propose solutions for local and regional society. The program awards a Master’s degree in Applied Social Sciences once graduates have demonstrated that their theoretical and methodological training allow them to design a research project that satisfies current scientific demands.

Candidate Profile

The applicant profile is that of a Bachelor’s degree in any of the Social Sciences or similar disciplines, such as Education professionals specializing in History and Geography. With at least an 80% of employment in their field, with an average age of 28 years old in a regular class, including 4 years of experience in their field.
