Description

This is an intensive, part-time, on-campus academic program. It is organized by semester, with a four-semester duration (2 years). Classes take place from March through January. Each semester, direct teaching sessions (modules) take place during four intensive periods of three consecutive days each month. In the context of the challenges posed by scientific development, and particularly Social and Human Sciences, for a country such as Chile and a region such as Araucanía, the aim of Universidad de La Frontera’s Master in Psychology is to train highly qualified human resources, capable of creating and transferring knowledge that is relevant and pertinent to confront the challenges in human development and the achievement and maintenance of psychological well-being. The program started 12 years ago, has been accredited twice and has graduated over 70 students. It also seeks to help satisfy our country’s graduate training needs in Psychology, especially in the South-Central macro-region.

Objectives

This program aims to train psychologists and professionals from related areas for a rigorous, up-to-date and critical performance in university teaching, research and interventions that require psychological knowledge. It aims to train highly qualified human resources, capable of creating and transferring knowledge that is relevant and pertinent to confront the challenges in human development and the achievement and maintenance of psychological well-being.

Candidate Profile

Professional psychologists or students with a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline.
