Description

The Master in Political Communication (MCP) expresses the academic will to deal with a highly meaningful area of problems that involves aspects of communicational analysis, and strives to study the sociopolitical phenomena that determine the lives of citizens and to describe the macro-conditions of management and realization of political and communicational activity. This academic program examines recent transformations in the public-political and communicational domains in Chilean society. Its main focus is to study the meaning of transformations that have taken place in the political and communicational spheres, in order to understand and interpret their purpose and relevance.

Objectives

"To help students develop theoretical-methodological research competencies in the field of Political Communication.
To help students develop the ability to make a critical assessment of Political Communication phenomena, both at the professional and academic levels."

Candidate Profile

This graduate program is oriented towards professionals, academics and researchers with at least four years of higher education and an academic or professional degree with a level, content and duration equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree granted by Universidad de Chile.
