Description

The goal of this program is to provide graduate training in the area of Educational Informatics, with a strong background in the planning, use, implementation and evaluation of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) as a support to teaching and educational management in the different levels of the educational system.

Objectives

To offer the student theoretical and practical tools in Education and Educational Informatics, in order to address didactic, educational and management problems in classrooms, schools, educational corporations and ministerial units in the field of Education. To enable student to participate in research groups in the field of Education, with an emphasis in Educational Informatics, that may help improve the quality of education. To train graduates capable of creating, directing and evaluating educational programs in the field of Educational Informatics. To provide tools to incorporate ICTs in teaching practices.

Candidate Profile

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree or an academic degree with a level, content and duration equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree granted by Universidad de Chile, in fields related to the discipline, thus guaranteeing previous training that is consistent with the goals and requirements of the program.
