Description

The Master in Landscape Architecture focuses on the study and design of the spatial, aesthetic, ecological, biological and formal relationships produced by human activities and needs within their territory. It has a duration of three semesters and a curricular structure based on 12 courses and 155 credits.

Objectives

The main goal of the UC Master in Landscape Architecture is to produce a superior level of research, theory and relevant practices in the field of Landscape Architecture, by training specialists in this field –from an aesthetic, scientific and technical perspective– thereby expanding the influence of this discipline on city and territorial development. Graduates of the Master’s program in Landscape Architecture will understand the territory as a dynamic reality that may be constructively and creatively modeled; that is, its main competency is defined by its treatment of the landscape, considering each variable that affects it.

Candidate Profile

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s or professional degree, with a level equivalent to the one granted by Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Must present the application documentation described in the program’s regulations and must be accepted by the program Graduate Committee of the School of Architecture of Universidad Católica de Chile.
