Description

Universidad Católica’s PhD and Master’s programs in Mathematics were established in 1972. This graduate program in Mathematics includes the Master’s and PhD programs, which share a single admission process and their first year. Our graduate degree is associated to the graduate degrees of the Schools of Sciences of Universidad de Chile and Universidad de Santiago, in order to produce greater scientific interaction between professors and students. Professors in this program maintain various contacts with research groups in Chile and abroad.

Objectives

The main goal is to train independent researchers, with a vast knowledge in the basic disciplines. Our Master’s program offers a strong education in the fundamental areas of Mathematics, exposing students to groundbreaking research in Mathematics and its applications.

Candidate Profile

Applicants must have a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or equivalent undergraduate training.
