This Masterâs program offers students âwho come from different disciplines of the Humanitiesâ a specialization in different areas of thought in literary and cultural studies: artistic movements from different periods; literary genres and subgenres; canons and exclusions; literary and cultural theory and criticism; intermedialities (Literature and other Arts); problems and polemics in Chilean and Spanish-American literature (narrative, poetry, drama, essays).
To train specialists capable of conducting research in the field of Literary Studies that may allow them to gain deeper knowledge of literary phenomena, authors, movements and periods, and critical perspectives in Chilean and Spanish-American literature and culture.
This Masterâs program is designed for those with Bachelorâs degrees in Letters and Literature, Spanish teachers and teachers of foreign languages, literary critics, journalists and, generally, professionals who work âor wish to work successfullyâ in various literary and cultural fields.
